ALKOTÓ-CARE

Meike, 29.

Meike had it all together. A job, a place to live, a social circle. But things changed. The stress built up slowly at first, like a crack in a wall that no one saw until it was too late.

She started missing deadlines, skipping social events, and isolating herself. Her apartment was left untidy, and the bills went unpaid, but no one noticed.

She reached out once, but the response was a quick fix: “You’re just stressed.” No one really asked how she was doing or if she needed help. Eventually, Meike withdrew completely, and the apartment became a prison.

ALKOTÓ x Stichting Goud are showing us what happens when mental health is ignored. It’s not a quick fix. It’s not just about talking it out. It’s about real care, real intervention, before it’s too late.

When we don’t care, people collapse in silence.
